This is the basic difference between Protestants and Catholics, do you agree?
Protestants see 2 different things in the bible and think that it has to be "either or". So they end up making a choice of which verse to believe and which verse to reject or ignore.
Whereas, Catholics look at both verses and conclude that both are true when taken into context with the rest of the bible and with apostolic teaching handed down orally and through the writings of the early Church fathers.

By the way, not trying to be mean, just giving my opinion. I believe that Protestants are my brothers and sisters in Christ, but I believe that they don't have the fullness of the faith and apostolic teaching authority that is found in the Catholic Church.
By the way, I'm not trying to be mean but catholics are not Christians. Their religion is tarnished because of ungodly leadership. I believe their teachings are not the fullness of faith because Jesus is not the center of their doctrine. Jesus is God. The virgin Mary,well, just a virgin vessel used by God.
