Beginners Bible Cd

What's the best way to learn Hebrew, I can't afford classes?

I want to learn Hebrew, I'm 16 and I'm a total beginner.
Not modern Hebrew though, the point of me learning Hebrew is to study the Hebrew Bible...
Are there any free classes/websites online? Good books? CD's?
Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I think learning biblical Hebrew by yourself would be very difficult, because as opposed to modern Hebrew you won't be able to practice by speaking to people or watching television shows.
You should start by learning the alphabet though, so you can at first read the text in the bible even if you can't understand what it says. You can do that even online, there are many different websites that explain how the alphabet works and all you'll need to do is practice memorising all the letters and the nikud for the vowels.
The next step, if it is understanding the bible you are interested in, would have to involve getting help from bible experts. Even native Hebrew speakers like me don't understand everything that's written in the bible, although we can read it all, because many terms used there are different in modern Hebrew and have been interpreted in different ways throughout the decades.
I'd suggest trying to locate a reformist synagogue in your area that also has women rabbis in it, and try to find someone who'll agree to teach you the bible. They might even agree to do it for free, as it's a good deed. But you should prepare in advance and know that learning the bible is not going to be an easy task, it is harder than learning the language for actual day-to-day usage.
