I have read them all.

Frankly, everytime I reread it I find new problems with The Spiral Dance. I think the age of the book is the only reason we don't openly criticize it as a community. I can't see myself recommending it to anyone anymore, and that fact just stunned me. lol.

In the realm of stunning people- I think the Witches Bible, and the books that it is made of, are grossly overhyped. In the 1980s (dating myself) many people I knew had good, strong critiques of these books that are now largely discarded because when compared to the bad books we have today, they seem wonderful.

I think the first four books you mention are given passes we would not give newer books today, and need to be read in that context. I am unhappy with *every* book on Wicca available, even those I have written.

The last you list I find essential, by the way, but it needs to be read as historical and seminal, not as a theology.
