Ok so those are just some of the beautiful afghans that I'm really excited about making when I finally get advanced in crocheting. 
They're so beautiful and not to mention all of the other things that can be made..bible covers, gloves, hats, slippers, socks. I'm 16 and I try to stay out of trouble and just do my own thing and this is something really exciting for me because I think I can do something like this over time. Do you think I can teach myself with time, my grandmas help (but her knowledge is limited) tutorials on youtube and the right books?
Yes! In fact, the first afghan in your list is made of Granny Square motifs, one of the easiest patterns going. Making enough for an afghan is a challenge, but making *ONE* could be your first project.
