How do Christians know their modern bibles are accurate translations of the original “divine message”?
I mean, the modern language is so vastly different to the language that Hebrew desert nomads and goat herders used; I don’t think it’s possible to have an accurate translation of a 4000 year old language into a modern language. So it makes me think that modern Christians are just using the old, “You need to have faith” excuse. They have faith that their modern translations of 4000 year old myths and legends are accurate and this faith is, as usual, not based on any evidence or rational thought process. Do you think that because these people believe so much without evidence that the belief that their modern bible is an accurate translation is without difficulty for them? You know, it’s just added to the immense pile of ‘stuff without evidence’ in which modern Christians already believe?
