Does anyone know if this old bible is worth anything?
I have a Collins's Pictorial Family Bible......
it was printed in 1863, is large and heavy(!). Originally, there would have been four pages between the Old and New Testaments with family records written in - these were torn out before the Bible came into my possession.
It is leather-bound, though slightly scuffed. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is worth anything.
Bibles are ubiquitous. For a Bible to have any monetary value, it needs to have some historical significance, such as being a President's family Bible or a Gutenberg, or it needs to be rare. Collins' Pictorial Family Bible was a large press run and many of them have stood the test of time well. The edition you have is pretty commonplace, and therefore not valuable.
