Can any christians help answer my questions?
ok, question 1#: how tall, long, and broad was Noah's ark? the only reason i can't answer this one by myself is because the bible i use (KJV) tells it in cubits. 2# how many inches or feet are in a cubit and a span? 3# how tall was Goliath? 4# how tall/broad in feet and inches (along with my other questions) does the bible say the New Jerusalem will b in the book of revelations? 5# this is the last one i promise! in the book of Genesis 6:4 the bible says: ''and their were giants in those days'' (Genesis 6:4), which were the offspring of the fallen angels mating with human women, but that's not the question, my question to you (christians) is i always thought by ''giants'' that meant they were tall like 10-12 feet tall, but lately i've been hearing the correct interpritation was really ''nephilim'' not ''giant'' is this true? also whoever answers all my questions with a fair amount of detail will b up for the best answerer! note: i'm a christian, i just have alotta questions!!!
A cubit is about 18 inches a span is about 9 inches. The scofield reference Bible has this note. "Gen 6:4 Some hold that the "sons of God" were fallen angels "which kept not their first estate" (Jude 6-7,) accordingly, this intrusion into the human sphere produced a race of wicked giants. Others hold that since angels are spoken of in a sexless way (compare Mt. 22:30), and because the words "took wives" signify a lasting marriage, the reference has to do with the breakdown of the Godly line of Seth by intermarriage with the godless line of Cain. A refinement of the latter view holds that the expression "sons of God" refers to all the Godly, and "daughters of men" to all the ungodly, irrespective of their natural paternity. Whichever view is held, it is obvious that Satan attempted to so corrupt the race that the Messiah could not come to redeem man. But God salvaged a remnant, and a Godly line was preserved.
You seem to be a thinker, so I strongly advise that you get a Scofield Bible. I hope that helps.
May God Bless you.
Feel free to email me I'll do my best to answer any questions you have.

The Promise $24.95 In his work as a priest and commentator for FOX News, Father Jonathan Morris has traveled to the troubled spots of the world, meeting with Muslim youth during the rioting in Paris, sitting down with populists at odds with the Church in Venezuela, and investigating human trafficking in Germany. Now Father Jonathan peels back the layers of questions that arise when someone asks ???Why me???? in response to human suffering. With an accessible voice and calming pastoral guidance, Father Jonathan leads readers through each step of suffering-from doubt and anger to healing and acceptance. '' The Promise comprises three parts, each addressing a step in the process of healing. Part 1, ???God on Trial,??? speaks to doubts and anger that arise when we suffer and poses tough questions such as ???Does God even care???? and ???Why should we trust a God who allows innocent suffering???? Part 2 takes the reader on a journey of finding emotional and spiritual healing from suffering. In part 3 Father Jonathan introduces the five ???Principles for Freedom-Living.??? From living your personal vocation to a step-by-step guide for sketching a plan for your spiritual life, the freedom principles are practical and easily applied to everyday life. Together these five principles have the power to transform what would otherwise be useless suffering into a means of great sanctification and personal fulfillment. While pulling back the layers of philosophy and theology that surround human suffering, Father Jonathan offers not only a deeply spiritual answer but also a practical one to this most fundamental of human questions: Why do we suffer? ''???A persuasive invitation to a fuller life.???' -Rev. Richard John Neuhaus , editor-in-chief, First Things ''???Father Morris welcomes and converses with us on a personal yet riveting journey. His spiritual insight is profound!???' -Sharon Deitrick , president of the Halo Foundation ''???Here's a promise worth keeping, and sharing with others.???' -Raymond Arroyo , author of Mother Angelica ''???For anyone dealing with life's pain and asking why, this book will be a source of refreshment.???' -Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., Archbishop of Denver ''???I am confident Father Jonathan's new book will be for books what The Passion of the Christ was for film-a watershed moment of inspired creativity capable of transforming lives from the inside out.???' -Steve McEveety , producer of The Passion of the Christ ' |
