is godly and how can i prove it using the bible?

i need to prove that it is by using the bible so people belive me

First of all the book of Psalms says to make a joyful noise to the Lord, and tells the congregation to use all sorts of instruments, including stringed instruments and various drums, as well, in praise and worship of God. That satisfies the music side of the proof that it is "Godly."

Then there are the lyrics. If the lyrics are exalting God or calling believers to a closer walk with God, then the song is fine.

The thing is, though, you do not have to prove this to anyone. There are some stick-in-the-mud Christians who think a guitar has no place in church. To them I would like to say: Isn't it marvelous that the church accepts new musical styles since the very beginning? Otherwise we would all be singing Gregorian chant in Latin.

Another pithy question I like to ask such people is: How old were you when you first started learning hymns? Usually they say 3 or 4. Then I say: How old were you when you stopped? Response is usually dead silence.

Finally -- musical styles in worship are not owned by any particular group, and any good Christian who cares about the lost will be open to using whatever tool possible to reach them. Including Christian Rock.

Ray, a former Evangelical Protestant and Bible teacher, goes through the Scriptures and the first five centuries of the Church to demonstrate that the early Christians had a clear understanding of the primacy of Peter in the see of Rome. He tackles the tough issues in an attempt to expose how the opposition is misunderstanding the Scriptures and history. He uses many Protestant scholars and historians to support the Catholic position. This book contains the most complete compilation of Scriptural and Patristic quotations on the primacy of Peter and the Papal office of any book available. It has over 500 footnotes with supporting evidence from Catholic, Orthodox, Evangelical, and non-Christian authorities. "This book defends Catholic teaching against the opposition, using current Church teaching on the Old Testament foundation for the primacy and succession of Peter. A rich documentation, a fine study." -Cardinal Christoph Sch...nborn "A veritable tour de force on behalf of the Petrine ministry, bringing together exegetes, the Fathers of the Church, the witness of history, and even Protestant scholars. The work is scholarly, objective, and accessible to all readers. Recommended wholeheartedly and unequivocally." - Fr. Peter Stravinskas Stephen Ray is the author of the best-selling story of his conversion, Crossing the Tiber.
