Why would catholic "laity" answer Bible questions if they claim only clergy has the authority to interpret it?
The Church has no problem with the laity answering bible questions, as long as we answer in the context of the teachings of the Church. Only the teaching magisterium of the Catholic Church has the authority given by Christ to interpret the scriptures. Pax Christi
