Writing a Resume...skills and achievements?
I am writing a resume for a Petstore, I have worked in a petstore before but I really need experience with animals for post secondary education because I am working towards a Doctor of Veterinary Med Degree.
So for my skills and achievements I don't really know what to put I have this so far:
-Experienced and knowledgeable with a variety of pets along with their health, care and breeding
-Bilingual (fluent in both English & Hungarian)
-Extremely determined, dedicated & hardworking
-Organized
-Mature & responsible
-Artistically inclined
-“FREEDOM and JUSTICE PRINTS” one of the top 40. Displayed in the CEC building.
-(2) Best junior trophies and 5 rosettes from the ******** bird club baby and annual show
-St. ********* Catholic High school Academic Award June 2007
I'm also thinking of applying at an art shop, grocery store and hardware store.
1) Keep the resume to one page.
2) List only the things that are pertinent to the job for which you are applying. Experience with pets won't help at an art store.
3) Don't say that you are determined, organized, mature etc. Cite things that you have done to illustrate those qualities.
4) Use "action verbs", not the adjectives you are using here.
