Why do Protestants use the Catholic Bible?
all protestant churches follow the books of the bible chosen for his great translation by saint jerome (a catholic).
jerome excluded many well-regarded christian testaments of his time (the acts of peter, the works of thecla &c.).
protestants accept the bible the catholics chose, but claim to be a different faith.
is this sensible?

One of my oldest friends is a Catholic and I had a look at her Bible a few years ago. I know it was different in some way, (the Apocrypha?) so now I'm going to have to google..
Right, you should accuse the Protestants of following the official canon of Judaism as their Bible did not include the Septuagint, which was excluded when the Scriptures were reformed around 100 C.E. The catholics kept the books in their Bible.

To be fair the Prots were just protesting about the abuses in the Church, they didn't intend to break from the Church at first. Their differences are in the practises of their religion not in their fundamental beliefs. Why would they have ditched their Bible? They are still Christians. btw the New Testament is the same for Prots, Catholics and Orthodox - it says
