A Concordance is a Bible Dictionary. Many large hardcover Bibles will have a Concordance, and concordances are available as stand-alone books themselves.
This is different from the Catechism as the Catechism is the teachings of the Catholic Church.
The concordance helps one understand the Bible in accordance with Catholic teaching. It also helps add necessary historical perspective to Biblical texts, so that the reader better understands what's going on.
