How do I do Daily Devotionals?
Okay so I am going to a Christan/Catholic school and I really had an eye opener today. I was reading a page from my favorite book of all time his princess by Sherri Rose. I was really thinking of doing daily devotionals with it. I have a book but it isn't as interesting. Should I do some of the scriptures from the book? P.s. the book is like a prayer from the king to girls then a scripture on the next page... What all would i need to start. Besides the obvious bible what else should i have with me? The scriptures from the book would be great to use. People like to use different formats for their devotional time and it's actually really good to change it around a bit so it won't become mundane.
A Bible concordance and dictionary are very helpful. Also, it's really nice to journal your prayers and thoughts from your devotional time. You can write about what speaks to your heart in the devotional and how will you apply the scriptures in your life.
Sometimes I play Christian music. To help you focus, you may want to have your devotionals somewhere where you can be inspired rather than at a place where you study.
