I have a question about the Bible and spanking children?
Okay, the Bible says
Proverbs 23:13-14 Don't withhold correction from a child. If you punish him with the rod, he will not die. Punish him with the rod, and save his soul from Sheol.
Proverbs 13:24 One who spares the rod hates his son, but one who loves him is careful to discipline him.
My question is what do you think about the parents nowadays who DO NOT spank their children and do you think parents not spanking children has led to children disrespecting adults?
it is ok to correct your children but there has to be balance and sound judgment! People must also remember to praise them when they do something right or good so they dont get discouraged and begin to think "I cant do anything right"!
