Ephesians can anyone explain or help ???
Hi
Please would someone whom has studied the bible longer than me (not long but i'm trying ) explain the Ephesians in the bible to me in understanderable terms or easier terms for me please.
Thank you
Hi
Truthfully i am new to studying the bible and i would just like your view on what you feel this story means to you and what message it bring to you.
Paul wrote this letter to the Ephesians to help them understand God's eternal purpose and grace. We have been saved, not only for our personal benefit, but also to bring praise and glory to God. The climax of God's purpose is to bring all things in the universe together under Christ.
God reconciles individuals to himself as an act of grace, and to each other, through the death of Christ. More than that, God has reconciled those saved individuals in one body, the church. It is through God's church that God will display his power and wisdom to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms. Christian existence is not merely on an earthly plane - its meaning and significance comes from heaven, where Christ is exalted at the right hand of God.
Still, we have to live out our lives on earth, and in so doing, God uses us to work out his purposes. The unity of the church under the headship of Christ is a foreshadow of how Christ will unite all things in heaven and on earth. Our new life in Christ contrasts dramatically to our old life without Christ. All who are strong in the Lord have victory over the evil one in the great spiritual battle - and prayer is the most powerful tool in our armoury against evil.
May God bless you richly as you study his holy word.
