French Bible
how come some english versions of the bible?
contain the word "homosexual" and every version of the french bible i've read doesn't?
let's even forget the fact that the word "homosexual" wasn't around when the bible was written, so it can't be in there.
if they can't even translate the bible the same between modern languages, how do you trust that it's been translated correctly from the original.
That's why I use a reputable translation with sound scholarship behind it. Most Christians don't even realize that the idea of "homosexuality" is a 19th century construct. The words that Paul uses refer to male prostitution, or effeminacy, or perversion, but not "homosexual." It's also good to at least be aware that the Bible wasn't originally written in the King James Version, but being on here has made me aware that many folks are very ignorant about the Bible.
