What is your favourite Magnetic Fields song?
As a matter of fact make that any song by any of Stephin Merritt's side projects too (Future Bible Heroes, Sixths, Gothic Archies etc). So many to choose from that I need help making up my mind!
Good question. I haven't heard any of Stephin Merritt's side projects, but I have most of the Magnetic Fields CD's. I like a lot of songs on i - "I Don't Believe You", "I Don't Really Love You Anymore", "I Looked All Over Town", "I'm Tongue-Tied", and "It's Only Time", most of them actually.
From earlier stuff songs that I can remember liking a lot are "Tokyo a Go-Go", "With Whom to Dance?", "Strange Powers", "Swinging London" and "Fear of Trains".
I've only listened to it once, but the song I like most from the new album is "Please Stop Dancing". The Magnetic Fields are one of my favorite bands, and you are right, they do have a lot of good songs.
