What are some key bible verses i should read to my congregation on good friday?
my youth group is doing a session on good friday and i am to read some verses...my youth pastor has put it up to me to find some key verses and read them to the congregation? what should i read to them, what are the key ones?
I'm not going to suggest to you key verses; you should, as a group, choose them together---at least it is a thought. So, I will just give you food for thought that you can bring to your group to help you develop your session around the theme of Good Friday.
In pious retrospect, it is possibly called "Good Friday" because for all that tragically took place, it brought about the greatest good there could be.
Good Friday is commemorated not only to remember that the Big G gave us his only son and that the son lives through those that believe, but I think that it is there to remind us that when we experience the greatest of life's tragedies, we are reminded that there is hope; a new beggining. Easter is centered around Spring, the time of renewal!:-)
Reading verses that center on the events that took place, to get your group's point across is an idea--and makes sence.:-)
