Large Print Catholic Bible
For Catholics:How many of you have ever read any of the deuterocanonical books in any Catholic bibles?
Most Catholic bibles have 73 books,not 66,like Protestant bibles do.My new bible is a large print Catholic bible,New Revised Standard Version.
Anyway,my point is that I've been blessed to read an Old Testament book in my new bible called Ecclesiasticus,or the Wisdom of Jesus son of Sirach.
So, how many of you bible reading and bible believing Catholics have actually read those books and found them to be a blessing as well as the other 66 books?
I'm not Catholic, but I have read all 73 books at least twice. I especially find the books of Judith and Susannah heartening, and I for one think that they are as inspiring if not more so than the other 66. I think it's a decision that everyone has to make on their own, but should at least be exposed to the Apocrypha.
