According to you, what is he referring to?
In part, the story is about the subjectivity of memory. Perhaps it is also about the impossibility of knowing or possessing another. Thanks.
The writer is Borges and though ecriture without a capital means writing, with a capital it refers to the bible. I thought perhaps because you were religious people you might know of a place in the bible where someone refers to a miror, that's all.
