Would Christ be welcome in your Bible study if he just repeated what he said the last time?
He said: "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice." He was quoting Hosea 6:6, which appears to be a condemnation of the idea of sacrifice for sins.
And he very clearly declared the purpose of his mission in Luke 4:43. He said that God sent him to teach... and when he completed his teaching (before the Crucifixion) he said that he had finished what God sent him to do. (And of course killing a teacher sent by God is not "good news for mankind)

And he said to the women who were weeping for him at the Crucifixion, "Weep not for me, but for yourselves and your own children." Does that sound like good news for mankind to you?
So, knowing that Christ would not be very favorable to the idea that the Crucifixion was good news for mankind, would he be welcome at your Bible study?
