I need a site dedicated to college book summaries?
I'm taking this super boring mandatory class called Catholic Heritage. I just can't seem to read the book, my mind just wanders elsewhere till I snap back; it takes like an hor to read 2 pages.
Does anyone know a site dedicated to college book summaries? The book is just called Catholicism (by Richard McBrien) so it's sort of hard to search for it as a title.
OK, I worked with a lawyer who was just really Catholic and I'll call him and get the answer. In the meantime, look up stuff in The Catholic Encyclopedia and The Catholic Dictionary and check some f Websites for you. But Andy, my lawyer friend is the quickest way. Let's hope he's not out out of town.
He is not. He's calling me back ASAP. I will write then. This is his favorite topic. And yes, I know how to research, but mine has mostly been manual up to this point, or Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis.

The End of Irish Catholicism? $18.95 'This book offers a unique analysis of the cultural conditions that produced traditional Irish Catholicism and seeks to explain the present, apparently precarious, situation of the Church in modern, secular Ireland. The End of Irish Catholicism? consists of a series of reflections based on the author's wide experience of studying and working in various Catholic cultures in Europe and America. Topics include the crisis of faith, the viability of the institutional Church in Ireland and the relationship between Church and State. ' While the author seeks to understand the deeper reasons for the Church's inadequate response to modern, secular Ireland, he looks to the future in hope, convinced that the Catholic Church in Ireland has the resources needed to renew herself as was the case so often in the past. But change is needed. The way forward involves a cultural and intellectual renewal, as well as new ecclesiastical structures. ' D. Vincent Twomey lectures in Moral Tehology at the Pontifical Unversity, Maynooth, and is the editor-in-chief of the Irish Theological Quarterly . ' |
