Personal Bible Kjv
About studying the bible & which bible to use?
I am trying to learn the bible & have been asking questions about the book of Matthew.
When i ask i just cut & paste the NIV from Biblegate .
I have had several comments not to use the NIV but to use the KJV instead.
I am curious why this is ?
For my personal study i have several bibles including the KJV but my favorite is the NWT
Don't they all basicaly say the same thing ?

Yes the Jehovah's Witnesses gave it to me & i love it . It is so easy to understand .
KJV is after all KIng Jame's "Version"
Get yourself a good Translation rather than a Version or paraphrased one The new world translation of the scriptures is a very good translation and you can read this one by visiting
