will teaching the bible in texas schools be an elective?
ok now coming from a student perspective i really think the whole teaching us the bible in school is a bad idea. not only texas but this whole country has MANy MANY MANY differnt belifes, religion. and they shood leave all this to the churches and families to teach...but it looks like they are still going to do this any way soo what im asking is is this subject going to be an elective??????

Yes, it's a bad idea, and it's going to get them sued eventually since they didn't provide any training for teachers to learn how to separate 'the bible as literature' from 'the bible as religion'. But yes, it's an elective. They cannot force you to take a class in the bible, even as literature. Although frankly, this is going to backfire in more ways than one - reading the bible is the fastest way to becoming an atheist.
